2004-present. Self-powered wireless sensors and energy harvesting Print

Energy harvesting

This project aims at development self-powered wireless sensors for a variety of applications. We develop energy harvesters, energy conversion circuitry and ultra-low power sensors. One of the goals is to design a platform that is agnostic to the energy source: vibration energy harvested by an electromagnetic harvester or piezo harvester; wind energy, energy of thermal gradients, etc.

Demonstration: Electromagnetic energy harvesting from bridge vibration

Demonstration: piezolectric energy harvesting from machine excitation
